DJ Foxxy (DC)

DJ Foxxy, much like his 1970s namesake, brings hot action and raw power to the dance floor. A DJ since 1990, he brought the big city sounds he experienced on the dance floor back home to North Carolina. His Thursday night residency at Club 1622 became a steady fixture for all the club-goers looking for the best new music and a friendly, safe space.

In 1994, he co-founded “House Dat!,” the South’s first and largest party dedicated to house music and queers of color. The (at the time) still-segregated club culture couldn’t withstand the infectious music, and the parties set the bar for what clubbing experiences should be: diverse, fabulous, and fun.

Shortly after, Foxxy became the new resident DJ for the host club, Power Company, a position he held until the bar’s closure.

Foxxy became a moderator and DJ for PrePartyRadio.com, hosting weekly shows and co-planning/spinning at their yearly poolside parties at the Winter Music Conference in Miami for nearly a decade.
